You Can Catch Bigger Fish with MrWiffelure.!
Hello everybody this is Captain Skip with MrWiffelure. We have another video here for you that we’re going do today on How To Catch Bigger Fish. Today I want to cover the use of MrWiffelure baits in combination with your hard plastic baits.
How To Catch Bigger Fish With Hard Plastics And
Soft Plastic Baits Together.
Here, I have a Rat-L trap, I have a nice Rat-L trap lure and we have changed the hooks you’ll see on all these baits we got rid of the treble hooks. I feel the treble hooks hurt the fish as well as the anglers when you’re trying to get them out they’re very dangerous. So we switch all our hooks to circle hooks on our hard plastic baits. That’s how to catch bigger fish.
This is a one ot Gamakatsu hook and on this bait I’ve added a two inch micro wiffel in the color shrimp glitter gold. Of course you can put any color wiffelure on the bait that you want and these baits are easy to modify as far as changing the hooks from a treble hook to a single, circle hook just by buying some split rings taking the old hooks off and putting the new ones on.
This bait here is designed to look like a mullet, I don’t remember the brand of this bait it might be a Mirrolure. I know it’s a good bait I’ve used it I don’t know if you can see or not it’s been hit, pretty much just tore up and again, took off the treble hooks put on the circle hook and added the micro mrwiffelure. This is a salt and pepper micro mrwiffelure.
We generally try and match as best as we can the MrWiffelure that we add to the bait to the main body of the plastic lure the hard plastic lure that we’re using. This particular lure it’s a little larger lure than the Rat-L trap so we’ve used a 3 ot Gamakatsu circle hook.
I believe this is a bomber bait but I’m not sure again and on this particular one we’ve put a four inch MrWiffelure root beer glitter gold to it and again a 3 ot hook and you can see the colors of the lure and the colors of the MrWiffelure are very similar.
Now, if you’re wanting to change the way that this is rigged if you’re wanting to change the lure it’s very simple. Just unhook the one lure and put on another one.
We’ll add this root beer glitter gold with a chartreuse tail and the way I like to do that and measure it is I hook it from side to side, put the hook from one side of the bait to the other, about a ¼ inch back from the nose, so that the bait trails and swims without spinning.

Real easy combination; any lure that you can add the MrWiffelure to, enhances your ability to get a bite. MrWiffelure has the best action tail in the industry of soft plastics. The holes in the tail create a sonic, aerial nomadic sound that makes the lure call the fish to you.
They come to see what that vibration what that noise is they see the action it entices the fish to bite. Here’s a little larger lure, top water lure with a spinner blade on it that we have a MrWiffelure attached to, and this is a three hook lure it has three treble hooks on it, that’ll do your hand some damage.
But you can look at this and again, this bait will trail behind the lure and MrWiffelure will give it that action even if you’re popping it on the surface. That MrWiffelure will wiggle, twitch and make the sounds and have the bait, the fish come to you an initiate a strike and catch bigger fish.
This particular lure if I was to use it, I would use it on a top water situation, probably fishing for snook. It worked very well that way, they like the red and the white and they like white also by itself so this is a good combination.
Pink is one of my favorite colors for any fishing lure. Again, I believe this is a Mira lure with it’s a mullet style body with a prissy pink glitter MrWiffelure four inch lure on it.
It’s a very nice lure. If you look on our website you’ll see a picture of Captain Rodney Rafield holding up a 18 pound snook caught using one of these lures and also a pic of Captain Rodney again in another place in Chokoloskee holding up a real nice gator trout caught using this color lure here.
The hard plastic lure again is a Mirrolure and that’s a winning combination. Now, not only can you put the four inch lure on the back of these hard plastics, but if you think that’s a little bit over kill you can add the little micro MrWiffelure.
With the two inch lures doesn’t matter about the hook size, what you want is the action of that tail and it kind of looks like a baby fish following the big fish. It’ll initiate the bite you’ll get the strike and you’ll catch bigger fish.
That’s all for the hard plastic baits. Don’t forget you can add with MrWiffelure to any bait and any bait you add the MrWiffelure bait to will enhance your ability to catch bigger fish. –Capt.Skip
